About Valerie Lizotte (Chief Development Officer)

Writing and creating in general has always been a passion of mine and I always wanted to make a career of it. Well, I am now taking the jump and giving it a try! You might wonder what qualify me for this, beside my love of writing and creating. Well, let’s see.

On the writing side: I possess a Master’s Degree in French Literature from Université du Québec à Rimouski; I am fluent in both French and English, I have been working as a freelance journalist for “Le Franco, the French newspaper in Alberta Connect an English community newspaper, I also published a few short stories and wrote a play that was produced in a dinner theatre. I have been in charge of communication for my two last employers (press releases, employee communication, newsletter, etc).

• Le pouvoir de la grande force, murder and mystery, presented at the Auberge du Mange-Grenouille, Quebec.

• Created Computer Based Trainings from storyboard to evaluation.

• Developed guidelines for computer based training.

• Developed classroom training.

• Developed French daily oral language programs for grades 4 to 6.

• Created a French writing kit for grades 1 to 6.

• Wrote successful grant requests.

• Prepared Power Point presentation for special events

• Drafted, corrected and published a monthly newsletter, both in French and English.
